The Alwives Wedding

Both the bride and groom were doctors doing their residencies out of state and had no time to plan a wedding.

The first step in the planning process was to meet with them and get a sense of what they wanted. Once I could envision their dream wedding, I set up meetings with vendors that I trusted and that I knew would make their day perfect! These vendors included the tent rental, lighting, generator, table & chair rentals, table settings, bathroom trailer, caterer, florist, DJ, officiant, golf cart, hotel room blocks, gift bag treats, tent diagram, timeline.

Despite its potential challenges, this event turned out beautifully and the bride and groom could not have been happier. For a couple with so much already on their plate, I was thrilled to provide a hassle-free experience for this bride and groom!

This was a very special wedding for a couple that are both Sea Captains!

The ceremony was held outside at St. Ann’s by-the-Sea with the ocean all around them. The bride had a vision of taking a maiden voyage as a “Mrs.” right after being married. The timing & tides had to be exact. From the first meeting with the couple, the vision was clear…three separate locations for all of the evenings events! From a cocktail hour on the front lawn, to a sailcloth tent for the dinner to a clear frame tent for dancing under the stars, we made it happen.

The timeline had to be perfect and it was.

90-Day Planning Package

Judy & Will

Judy and Will decided to get married at a hotel and have the ceremony at a church. There were many details that went into making this wedding weekend a success! Most weddings plan a Rehearsal Dinner and/or a Welcome Party. A favorite rehearsal dinner for out of town guests is a traditional Lobster Bake! This is a fun way to start off the weekend festivities, and a Welcome Party is a good way for everyone to get together to meet before the wedding!

The day of the wedding started very early with hair and makeup to ensure everyone was ready on time. The photographers arrive early to take pictures of the wedding party getting ready & the bride having her first look with her father. With many guests coming in from out of town, the timeline for this wedding was very important to ensure all of the wedding party and guests arrived at the church on time! The schedule included all of the details of the day from vendor arrivals, trolley & limousine arrivals, ceremony, family pictures, first dance, cake cutting, sunset time for pictures, and a sparkler exit – with all arrival and departure times noted!

It turned out perfectly from the first dance to the sunset after party!
